The rooms and gallery are lovely, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Service was good, and the pool was nice, but it was dirty. We also found the breakfast food tasty, yet the dishes were dirty, which put me off and made me wonder about the kitchen. There were a lot of other problems. They advertise hot water, but we didn't get any. The electricity bothered us all night, as if there might be a short circuit. The bathroom soap felt like dish soap, and the TV wouldn't connect at all. The hotel is right beside the road, with cars passing all night, so sleeping was impossible. They say it's 15 minutes from Barichara, but it took about 25 minutes. These are small things that could be fixed, but we weren't happy with our stay.

The room and glamping site are lovely, but the hot water kept failing. It came back for about five minutes and then only cold water ran again. We asked for help, but some staff basically refused, ignored us, and didn't reply to our messages. The issue was never fixed, so we couldn't really use the hot water. That made the extra cost of glamping hard to justify, since the jacuzzi, one of its main attractions, was unusable with freezing water. I'm rating the service. Around 70% of the staff were wonderful and treated us just as we'd expect, but some were clearly unwilling to help.

It's a peaceful, beautiful place with a few little things to enjoy. But being so close to a highway makes nights a bit uncomfortable, with the vehicles making noise.

Whenever I need a break from routine, I like going to Barichara and staying here. It's spacious, with lots of green areas, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the main road, which is also a big convenience. The cafeteria is handy when I want coffee or a snack without going far. The hosts are very friendly, and the rooms are large and clean, with private bathrooms. I love the place and highly recommend it.

The gallery has lots to browse, and the hotel food was delicious. Breakfast was generous and tasty, too. We loved the rooms, with their lovely stone decor and plenty of space.
