Dharma Hotel Boutique Spa

Loved it!

The hotel looks beautiful, and the food is delicious. Bar service needs work, though. One young guy was friendly but slow. With the hotel full and just two people working the bar, they seemed focused on one or two couples while the rest of us waited for everything.

I booked a basic suite for nearly 1 million pesos, and the whole visit was terrible. The road in is full of potholes, enough to damage a small car. The room's Wi-Fi didn't work, and the TV was so old it couldn't open Netflix. They said there was DirecTV, but the remote had no batteries, and the unreliable internet meant I couldn't watch YouTube either. Wi-Fi is advertised, but when I raised the issue they made all kinds of excuses and said the internet company would come the next day. It never worked. I tried to leave, but they said I had to pay a balance I'd already paid and that there'd be no refund. They told me I could talk to the manager at 8 am, but the manager never appeared or said anything. The minibar had maybe three sodas, breakfast was one arepa, and the jacuzzi water was yellow and muddy, not at all inviting. Music was loud early in the day, and the service was just as bad. I don't recommend it.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Everyone was ready to help, and the pool waiters kept an eye on things. I brought my two dogs, and the staff treated them with so much love.
