Hotel Isla Capri

We paid for two rooms, and both were in extremely poor condition. In one, the bathroom was filthy: dried urine on the toilet seat, an overflowing bin full of dirty paper, and very grimy shower and sink faucets. The pillows were yellowed, and there were stains on the floor and every light switch. It didn’t look like the rooms were cleaned properly between guests. The hotel’s hygiene and sanitation are appalling. We’re going to ask the Health Department to inspect it, because an establishment with conditions this bad shouldn’t be operating.

The hotel is in a good location, but the rooms we got hadn’t been cleaned. The bathrooms had already been used and were still dirty, with urine in one toilet and dirty paper in the bins. We asked to switch rooms, but the ones they showed us were in the same state.

We booked and confirmed twice by phone during the day, but when we reached Mompós that evening, they’d given our room to someone else. We were left stranded, and no one even apologized. Their handling of bookings is incredibly irresponsible.

The rooms are comfortable, and the service is good.
