Apartamento En Santa Marta

The apartment is in a really good location, but it needs maintenance. We saw something running along the walls and realized it was a mouse. Thankfully we hadn't cooked or brought food, since it was unpleasant seeing it run around. We were also dealing with a broken bathroom lock on arrival, and my sister got trapped inside. The doorman came up, but it took 40 minutes to get her out, and she was quite breathless afterward. We stayed with family in October 2024. I had been told we could arrive at any time, but when we got there late, nobody was around to check us in. The air conditioning uses a card, which we only figured out the next day because no one had given us one. Being locked in and seeing the mouse made for a very unpleasant stay.

We booked a month ahead, but were given a small room instead of the one we had reserved. They charged us for wristbands at the entrance too. When we asked for our money back because the room wasn't what we'd agreed on, they acted like they couldn't hear us and kept it.

The apartment had a roomy bedroom for three, and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. It cost 90 thousand a night in low season and is two blocks from El Rodadero beach. There are lots of restaurants, supermarkets, liquor shops and places selling crafts close by. Nights were quiet, and the service, cleanliness and location were all good. Very recommendable. The sea view isn't good.

Service was very good, and the beach is just a block away. The place is pretty average, small, meets the basics, and has access to a tiny kitchen. I paid an extra 30,000 pesos for cleaning, and would have liked at least one more cleaning during each of the four nights. Those little things matter to me. There was no dishwasher or sponge.
