Fantastic.

The location is inside a shopping plaza, so it was easy to get lost at first, though the beach, restaurants and shops at different price points are nearby. The balcony has good ventilation, but it's shared with other apartments, which felt unsafe to me. We also had the water go out twice. The elevator was slow and broke down on us once, so we stopped using it. The beds were comfortable in my opinion, with enough of them and a sufficient size. There's air conditioning and fans, plus cable TV with an imperfect but working picture. The fridge is pretty good. There are no soap dishes at either the sink or in the shower. They charge half up front and the other half on arrival, then another 15,000 pesos per guest for a wristband that seems useless, since the security guard is on the second floor and can't see who comes and goes. If wristbands are required, they should be included in the initial price. Breakfast isn't included, there's no restaurant, and cleaning is charged separately.

The sea is calm, which makes these beaches popular with tourists and good for water sports and activities like diving. You can get to the aquarium from El Rodadero by boat, usually a 10 to 15 minute trip. For fewer crowds, it's recommended to go in the off-season. During peak periods, June-July and December-January, hotel and food prices go up, and restaurants and recreation areas get busier.
