I spent more than 30 days here, and it suited what I needed. Bedroom 2 is spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful decor. It has a sitting nook, a private balcony, a mini fridge, ceiling fan, plenty of outlets, and cable TV. The en suite bathroom has excellent shower pressure. The rooftop was a little haven for me, whether I wanted to look out over the village, meditate, or just sit in the tropical breeze. Ms. Jackie was a very gracious hostess. If I make it back to Taganga, this will be my go-to place to stay. Directions from Santa Marta: Casa Bella Mya is on Calle 16 between Carrera 2 and 3, nearer the corner with Carrera 3. After crossing the main highway into Taganga, continue straight into town. The smooth road turns gravelly. Pass the large peach/orange hostel on the left, then go about three more blocks to the offset intersection with a STOP/PARE sign. Turn right at the blue and yellow store in front of you. Go one full block past the blue building on your right, which I think is Tigo, to the main intersection. Turn right there, across from the large white Centro de Salud building on your left. Go one short block and turn right again. Casa Bella Mya is the lavender house on the left.

The room felt spacious and welcoming, and everything was spotlessly clean. We felt safe and at home. The French owner speaks perfect English, and we got lots of useful tips. The beach is only a short walk away.
