Casa Charlotte Alma Hotels

The hotel is gorgeous, with lovely details, clean rooms, hot showers, and nice toiletries provided free. We’d planned to stay at casa rosa again, since we’d loved it before, but thunderstorms caused flooding. The team communicated quickly and arranged this alternative hotel at no extra cost. Everyone who helped us change hotels was so friendly and professional, and the woman who made our delicious breakfast was lovely too. I’d definitely recommend staying here. Divine.

We got fresh breakfast every day, and the hosts were really attentive. The rooms are quiet, which is a relief in the sometimes-busy city centre. It’s also just one street from Parque de los novios in the historic city. I’d recommend booking here.

There was no running water for more than 10 hours, and management didn’t respond. They also forgot to send the check-in codes. If you expect to get into your room and take a shower, don’t stay here.

I’m left unsure about the service, price, and quality. Check-in was delayed by two hours, and there was no automated system. It’s described as a hotel, but it felt more like a house without reception. The staff offered a discount and a cocktail option and did try to help, though I had a bad experience with them. The central location is convenient, but street vendors and the other unsightly rooms around it made finding suitable accommodation difficult. The hotel has a cool design, and the rooms look lovely with their vintage style. Unfortunately, they smelled musty and generally unpleasant.
