The sunset and sea view from the terrace is one of the most amazing I’ve ever seen. Esmeralda made the best arepas and huevos in the morning, and I had a really nice time at El Cielo. It’s a 10-minute walk to the center of Taganga, where all the restaurants are.

We had a great time relaxing in the hammocks and watching the sunset over the bay. It’s a lovely little place with a fantastic view. The bed was comfortable, and with the fan on and the windows open, we didn’t miss having aircon. The kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook, and drinking water is always available. Carolina, the owner, is lovely. She even met us in Santa Marta after we forgot some things at the hostel.

The house has a lovely feel, somewhere between a hostel and a homestay, and the owner is incredibly nice. My room had a great view, but the rooftop was even better, with couches, hammocks, music, and an open-air kitchen. There was a construction site up there, unfortunately.

We spent about a week here, and the terrace was a highlight. It’s a relaxed spot to meet people or catch the sunset over the sea. The staff were polite, helpful, and great in every way, and the view is amazing.

The top floor has lovely views, and Carolina made us feel welcome. Her laid-back manner rubs off on you. An extra toilet would be a welcome addition.
