Color Hostel

We swam in the on-site pool several times, and the room had plenty of storage, AC, a fan, and a nice private bathroom. The hostel feels more like a hotel, though it was quite empty during our stay and still under construction. The shower only has cold water, which is fine and expected in Palomino. The location is the main drawback: it’s at the far south end of town, around 2 km from the beach and 1 km from the main hostel and restaurant street. Otherwise, it’s a luxury hostel. Be careful with the laundry service, which damaged some of my delicate clothes.

A good value place to stay in Santa Marta, about a 10-minute walk into town. The street is quiet, and the room was clean with air conditioning. We parked outside, where cameras and 24-hour personnel kept watch over the car.

The private rooms are nicely furnished and cost less than hotels, with comfortable beds, AC, fans, and private bathrooms. Little conveniences include bedside light controls and rain shower heads. Breakfast is free, and there’s a plunge pool. The staff are friendly, and the dorm bathrooms have plenty of toilets and showers and are very clean. The place felt safe. You can park motos here, and there’s a moto rental a few doors away. It’s in a quiet part of town.

The double rooms feel hotel-like, with plenty of space, lots of light, very comfortable beds, and plush towels. The bathrooms were the best I’ve come across in a hostel. The whole place is modern and comfortable, with fast internet and very friendly staff. Shared areas include a small pool, a billiard table, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable seating area. Card payments are accepted without an extra fee. Definitely recommend it.
