Haba Eco Hostel

A fun hostel in a good spot near the pier and waterfront. The staff are really friendly, and the bedrooms have air conditioning.

I had a really nice stay.

Everything is close from this hostel, and it’s right in the center. Buses stop on the side street and go all over, while the boardwalk and Santa Marta Bay are just a block away. There are parks nearby too. The common spaces are cute, the Wi-Fi worked well, and there’s a big kitchen. You can also buy drinks there. My room’s air conditioning worked well, and they changed the sheets and made the bed every day, which I liked. The bathroom was roomy and clean, though there was no toilet paper. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It was generally quiet and clean, and the area wasn’t noisy. My only real drawback was that they don’t take cards. I stayed a couple of days and would come back.

The location is great, the staff are very friendly, and the whole place is clean. I found it excellent value. I stayed in a shared room with a free key locker, and there was a choice of air conditioning or a fan. Breakfast costs extra, but you can order it for a low price. They only take cash, which was the one downside.
