A beautiful place right in central Santa Marta. The people are lovely, and I really liked the house’s Baroque style.

Marta’s kindness and sweetness, along with Julio’s warm welcome, made my time in Santa Marta unforgettable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and filling (you make it yourself), and the terrace was full of Caribbean plants and warm light. There’s a story behind every little thing in the decor, even the hostel’s name. Some bathrooms are a bit small, but the friendly staff and great help with the stay, questions, and recommendations more than made up for that. I’d absolutely recommend it, and I have to come back.

Indira was an attentive, charismatic host, and the place has a warm, welcoming feel with beautifully decorated spaces. It’s on a quiet street with everything you need nearby, including a beach a few blocks away. Getting around by transport is incredibly affordable. I’ve found my go-to place for future trips to Santa Marta.

The staff were so helpful. They suggested places to visit, made us breakfast before check-in since we were leaving for Tayrona, and looked after our bags while we were there. The rooms are comfortable, with private modern bathrooms, air conditioning, and a fan. The antique furniture gives the place its look. It’s around four blocks from Calle 3, with lots of places to eat and drink, and Plaza de los Novios. The Malecón is nearby too, what we’d call the Costanera.
