The setting is incredible, and the view is hard to match. Our clean, well-arranged room had its own plunge pool, loungers and hammocks, while the shared pool area was beautiful too. I had a massage by the river, so peaceful and lovely. It really felt restorative. There was a problem when some of our laundry went missing, but they found it, comped the cleaning service and took care of our meal. The front desk staff member who helped us was so caring and compassionate. I wish I could remember her name.

We had a wonderful stay, one day at Senda Koguiewa and two at Senda Watapuy. Both hotels sit next to each other above the river, with the pool and restaurant looking out over the forest and mountains. The food was very good, and everyone at reception and in the restaurant was helpful and lovely. Thanks for taking such good care of us. We’ll definitely come back. Ersin and Mark

The location worked really well for us, about a 10 minute walk to the park entrance. Our cabana was spacious, authentic and had its own pool, and the hotel was clean, thoughtfully put together, and full of amazing views. The check-in staff were friendly, and it was good value. Lunch service could be slow, though dinner and breakfast were fine. I’d read reviews criticizing the food, but I had one of my favorite meals of the trip here, the fried seabass. Some cabanas don’t have mosquito nets, and animals can get into the rooms. Reception isn’t open 24/7, so ask before it closes if you need a net.

The food was wonderful, and the pool and rooms made it easy to unwind. Staff were always kind, quick and ready to help. The hotel’s setting is special, facing the jungle near a natural river and very close to the entrance to Tayrona National park. We’ll be back.

The dining experience had a few unpleasant moments. On our first evening, the wakame in our dishes wasn’t fresh, and several sets of chopsticks were moldy. We mentioned the wakame before leaving, but nobody addressed it. At breakfast, the menu’s regular omelette unexpectedly came with ham. I’m vegetarian, and although the waitress offered to make another right away when I pointed it out, she didn’t apologize. I’d already taken a bite since the ham was hidden inside. Even with those problems, I’m giving the accommodation 4 out of 5 stars because the place itself was wonderful. It was one of the most beautiful places we stayed in Colombia, with a stunning atmosphere near Tayrona Park, charming comfortable rooms, gorgeous pools and an amazing view. You can see the care in the decor.
