The breakfast is tasty and included, and the receptionist was especially kind, quick to respond on WhatsApp, and welcoming. The hotel is clean and well run, with comfortable beds and plenty of sheets and blankets. It’s a good value for its location and quality, and a nice place to unwind. There’s no hotel parking, though a lot next door charges $20,000 COP per night. The bathroom has liquid body soap packets but no shampoo. The towels were spotless, thick, and nicely presented. We did have trouble with the shower: the water was scalding and couldn’t be adjusted. We unplugged the heater, but hardly any water came out even then.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Villa Paz many times and would happily return. The staff are so warm and ready to help, and the hotel is spotless. It’s only two blocks from the main square in Villa de Leyva. Breakfast is delicious, especially the unforgettable tamales.
