Olga at reception gave me lots of useful ideas for Villa de Leyva, including the hike to the carcávas and the Saturday market. I loved staying at Hostal Renacer. It's a safe 15-minute walk from the center, even at night, and that made it a peaceful place to spend time. I was upgraded from a dorm to a private room, which was a nice extra. My only small suggestions are adding more hooks in the room and replacing the bedspread, which looked a little old. I'd highly recommend the hostal.

I had a really enjoyable stay and would come back. The place is surrounded by nature, has parking, and the rooms were clean and well organized. There are several room types; I chose one with a private bathroom. The American-style breakfast was delicious.

We had a private room and everything went smoothly. It's a really cute hostel with shared and private rooms, and the staff are lovely. I especially enjoyed chatting with the receptionists and the gardener. It's a little outside town, and the road up can be steep.

A beautiful, peaceful spot to recharge, and a good base for hiking nearby. The staff are super kind and helpful with requests. They can even arrange a guide for the Laguna de Iguague hike.

There's a huge garden, the kitchen is well equipped, and both the dorms and bathrooms are clean and nice. You can order tasty food, and breakfast is included and good too. The hostel is about a 20-minute walk from the plaza, a pleasant and safe walk. Big thanks to all the staff. They're amazing, always helpful, polite, and friendly ☺
