My holiday was stressful because hardly anyone at the hotel spoke English, including at reception and in the restaurants. Only Edgardo Polido and Botones Jhonatan spoke it well, and they were very helpful and made things less stressful for us. If I’d known about the language issue, I wouldn’t have booked. The hotel should say on its website that it’s only for Spanish-speaking people.

We bought a day pass to Hotel Zuana while visiting Santa Marta on a cruise ship, as a day excursion. The hotel was accommodating, with a nice pool and access to the beach. I’d consider staying there on our next trip to Colombia.

We were staying in central Santa Marta, and the day pass at Hotel Zuana gave us just the escape from the heat we needed. The pool area was beautiful and spotless, and you could go straight to an equally clean beach. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, from reception to the restaurant staff. The food was delicious too.

The suites feel like home, with plenty of space and everything you might need: a living room, dining room, big balcony, bathroom, and a separate bedroom away from the common areas. The hotel also has a great spa, tasty food, and shows. We loved the infinity pool and fancy slide, and the view was spectacular, especially at sunset.
