The room was clean, but the water never got hot. Reception turned the heater back on after I asked, yet two hours later it was still cold. The next morning they said they had no coffee, despite three large signs listing different coffees. Those were two big disappointments. There were balconies on each floor, reachable from our hallway, but they were locked. I had to drink my coffee and smoke outside. I understand that smoking may be restricted, but being confronted for smoking next to the hotel was unacceptable. A nearly naked man came out and yelled at me in French, saying he'd lived in France and that people don't smoke in hotels there. In France, sir, if there's a balcony, you can smoke on it when it's not locked. In a month and a half in Colombia, this was the first time I'd seen such behavior. Elsewhere I'd been allowed to smoke on balconies with permission. You don't know how to welcome guests. Calling this a Franco-Colombian hotel doesn't make it feel welcoming. I absolutely don't recommend it unless you want to get yelled at.

I booked in the morning and trusted that the reservation was set. Three hours later, when we arrived, they quoted us a different rate. The owner said we could look for another hotel if we didn't accept it. What a lack of honesty and trust. Luckily it was still early and we found somewhere else. Imagine being told that at night!

They left us without a reservation at 8 pm. I can't recommend them: they don't honor bookings, and seem unreliable and uncommitted to customers. Please check before you book, because they don't seem to care whether you have a reservation or not. Friends, don't let this happen to you. They are not reliable.
