The staff are friendly, and the hotel is quite close to where I needed to work. My room was fine and the bathroom was pretty clean, but I didn’t like the shower. If you’re only there for a few nights and want to keep accommodation costs down, it works.

The room looked clean at first, but there were cockroaches, and the shower seemed dirty, with mold covering the top corner. I had a terrible stay. I was exhausted and chose to stop in Sincelejo for one night instead of continuing my trip, but I couldn’t sleep. The man at reception talked all night until I asked him to please let me sleep. At 6 a.m. a woman arrived and started speaking loudly too, waking me again. They were very rude and showed little empathy for guests. I usually refill my water bottle at hostels, but they wouldn’t let me do that here. The only option they offered was to buy a new bottle, creating more unnecessary plastic pollution.
