Glamping La Finca

We paid a 150,000 deposit and arrived at the agreed time, but ended up leaving because the rooms didn't work for us. My partner has rhinitis and certain smells bother him. The first room had a strong musty smell as soon as we entered, so we had to get out. The person who checked us in was kind and showed us another available room, but the wood smell was there too, and he couldn't stay. The beds also had mediocre mattresses, and the blankets were torn and stained. The photos they show at first don't match the actual place. For 300,000 or a little more, I think there are better options. Since leaving, I've messaged the same WhatsApp number where I got the information to ask for the deposit back, but they haven't even responded. It wasn't our fault the room's condition, and my partner's health issue, made staying there inadvisable.

Miguel really goes out of his way to give good service, and the location is a plus. Still, for $320,000 COP, I think there are better glamping places near Villa de Leyva. There isn't hot water in the showers, and the jacuzzi water could be cleaner. Bring insect repellent because there are lots of mosquitoes. There's no closet or other storage space either.

The setting is lovely, and sitting by the campfire with the natural surroundings made for a good experience. Service was excellent too. Comfort needs some work, though: the tents are packed close together, so you can hear everything from the others, and the shower pressure is so low that getting washed is difficult.

The bed was fine, with a mattress comfortable enough to sleep on, and snacks and minibar items weren't expensive. Still, it feels more like a campsite, and service has a long way to go, though maybe they're just getting started. The location is handy between Villa de Leyva, Santa Sofía, and Sutamarchán, away from crowds. The inflatable jacuzzi is nice, but there aren't activities on site. Tents sit very close together, so even little noises from the neighbors carry. Breakfast is just one item and isn't served until 9 am.
