Hotel Boyaca Plaza

The staff were warm, attentive, and ready to help or share information. It's a budget friendly, straightforward place in Tunja, close to Bolívar Square. Breakfast is limited to American style options with different egg dishes, but everything was tasty and well prepared. There was fresh fruit, coffee and/or hot chocolate, and natural juice. The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated. The towels and sheets were always clean, but looked worn and old enough to need replacing.

We were only there for a night before heading to Tibasosa, and the whole family loved it. It was a great base for seeing Tunja's main square. We arrived late Friday, and the owner suggested some good dinner spots in the square. The staff were so friendly and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. They even helped find breakfast options for my picky son. There was plenty of fresh food: freshly baked bread, freshly made arepas, fruit, cereal, coffee, and hot chocolate. We liked the breakfast more than the one we had in Tibasosa. The internet was steady, and they set up a workspace for my husband that was so comfortable he didn't want to leave. We'll definitely come back.

The location in Tunja is hard to beat, and the breakfast was delicious. During my two days there, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and everything stayed very clean. I hope I can come back soon.

The photo hardly matches the place, and that's why I almost didn't choose it for its location. Aside from that, it delivered what was offered: good service, a good breakfast, and attentive staff.
