Preludio Tunja

It's not luxurious, but it's excellent and economical. The staff were great, and there are food options nearby. The weather is very pleasant, too. There's a choice of shared or private bathroom, and I'd go with the private one. The facilities are good, with hot water and a TV.

Read the reviews before you go. We didn't, and ended up finding the same problems people had already warned about. Definitely a place to avoid. They call it a hotel, but it felt more like a motel. The beds were in poor shape, the furniture looked abandoned, and the TV was so old I was surprised it still worked. The facilities were run down, and the service made things worse. The manager and owner were arrogant and had no manners, with an attitude that came close to offensive. They managed to make us feel bad within minutes.

The manager was helpful, and his service was very good, considering everything. The facilities, though, are quite worn down. The bathrooms have plumbing issues, the shower doors don't close right, and there are other problems as well.

I wouldn't recommend him. I booked half an hour in advance and sent the money through Nequi. Personal circumstances meant we couldn't make it, so I called to ask if he could refund us. He came up with plenty of excuses and ended up keeping the money.
