Finca Hotel Paraiso Urrao

Great.

There’s plenty of space here, which makes the place pleasant, but that alone didn’t make for a good stay. The prices are high for what’s offered, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The whole property feels run down. In the room, the sheets looked dirty, the towels were stained, there was an unpleasant smell, and the blankets were too thin for the climate. Breakfast was mediocre and had little variety. The woman in charge came across as rude and unfriendly. She didn’t ask what guests needed, so I had to ask her for everything. This lovely place urgently needs a change in management.

I stayed three nights, and they never cleaned the room. The mattress was awful, the bathroom was in terrible condition, and the room in the stable smelled damp. I could hear all the noise from the rooms next door. The pool was green and out of order, and breakfast was disgusting. The photos they show are misleading. Everything was wrong, and I’ll never return.

I’d heard plenty of negative comments, but my stay turned out differently, maybe because the management had changed. My room was nice, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean. The complaints about the bathrooms didn’t seem accurate to me either. Leaves do get into the pool with the wind, but they’re always ready to clean it.
