Eco Hotel El Ocaso

You can get close to the farm animals and try plenty of activities, including horseback riding, milking, and feeding the cattle. The rooms are really comfortable, the food is delicious, and there are sports courts to use. It’s a very nice place to stay.

The location is good and easy to reach, and the restaurant food wasn’t bad. But our day pass visit was frustrating. We were a large group, and two of us only wanted lunch. We were told that because we’d be staying at the hotel, we couldn’t pay for lunch alone and had to buy the full day pass. We thought that was unfair, especially since half the pass price covers pool access, which we weren’t going to use. Service was very slow. We’d ordered two dishes in advance when we arrived, but they only brought them an hour and a half after everyone else had finished eating. There are quite a few things about the hotel and staff that need reviewing.

Breakfast had several options and was both delicious and generous. The hotel is well placed for visiting towns and taking tours of the main places in Santander. It’s quiet, with clean, comfortable rooms, and the owners are incredibly attentive. The kids loved seeing the animals. We’d gladly return many times.

The administration is a mess, they overcharge, and the customer service is poor. The service is terrible.
