The hosts were amazingly helpful and friendly. They suggested local treks and places to eat, and even offered to do our laundry when we asked where we could find a launderette. We also appreciated the 24-hour access since we were arriving late with kids. Breakfast was great, served in a lovely room. Santone is excellent value for money, and the location is perfect, on one of the town's most beautiful streets just a stone's throw from the plaza. We spent three nights there and couldn't have had a better stay. We'd definitely return to Villa de Leyva.

It’s a lovely spot and the location is convenient, but I wouldn’t choose it for a long stay. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and you can hear everything through the walls, including the neighbors. It works fine for a day trip.

Being close to the main square mattered most to us, since we wanted to walk around town, and Hotel Santone is on the pedestrian street. You can hear people going by at night, so keep that in mind. We stayed in the family room, with four good-sized beds, and our daughters especially loved the loft bed. The staff were always ready to help and suggest places to visit. It’s a simple hotel, but a perfect base for staying in Villa de Leyva.

The breakfast was delicious, and parking was free. The location is great, the price is fair, and the service was excellent. I’m taking off a star because the room wasn’t quite clean when we arrived. The previous guests had a pet, and the room and bathroom hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. We told management, and they dealt with it right away. They respond quickly to feedback and pay attention to what guests need. I’d definitely stay again.
