Suites Arcoiris

After three years, coming back to this fascinating and unique place in the Villa de Leyva mountains was an excellent surprise. My boyfriend and I saw the renovations the hotel has been doing. We loved seeing waterfalls between the mountains and clear water in the forest. After the pandemic, it felt like a beautiful connection with nature. We also noticed solar panels being used to heat the water, which is environmentally friendly. There were other things we hadn’t expected, like new furniture, and that gives the room a different feel. Definitely a place to visit and recommend around the world!

The rooms take a good climb up the hill, and they might want to warn guests that the drive up isn’t for the faint hearted. Once there, though, the views from the rooms are wonderful, and the hammock outside was great. It’s a lovely hotel outside town with very friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonable.

We had no reservation, so we decided to drive up and see the place. The road was narrow and uphill, but a nice lady opened the door and took care of us. We got a great view and a room with a jacuzzi, and were very happy with everything. So lucky we found it. I’ll have to go back again!

There are trails around the property that lead to an overlook and a waterfall. Our room was tucked into the mountainside above town, with stunning sunsets and equally beautiful sunrises from the other side. The hotel was well kept, and the staff were nice and helpful. The three nights we spent at Arcoiris were the best of our stay in Villa de Leyva. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a great place just outside the hustle and bustle.
