Hotel Campanario de la Villa

Being locked in one morning and locked out another night was the worst part. We couldn't get out in the morning, and on Saturday we were told it was fine to return at 00.15. Instead, the door was locked. We banged on it for 15 minutes before someone cursed at us. Check-in also felt awkward, like we were an inconvenience, and most of the staff were rude. The room was very dirty, and the bathroom was awful. I had to go downstairs three times to ask for hot water, then wait another two hours. Breakfast was nearly enough to make you cry: a dirty kitchen and food close to expiring. The woman working in the kitchen was the only friendly staff member. A really, really bad stay.

The rooms were damp, the wood was rotten, and the mattress was bigger than the bed frame. They also charged each person an insurance fee for possible damage to the hotel. Parking felt completely insecure and was far from the hotel, and the reception staff were awful. Booking.com presents the place as a two-bedroom apartment, but what we found on arrival was quite different. They charge extra for the location, and the stay costs far too much for what's offered. If you get the chance to visit, don't.
