Hotel PaloVerde Villas Campestres

I paid over $220 US dollars per night for a three-day stay in a three-bedroom villa for six people. That’s over a million Colombian pesos a night, a lot of money, so I expected service to match the price and was disappointed. I won’t come back, and there are other places I’ll try with my family. The staff seemed very young and inexperienced, and it felt like the owner didn’t want to invest in proper service while charging guests so much. The restaurant closes at 7pm, which is far too early. They suggested junk food options, but we weren’t interested. There were ants on the kitchen table every morning, but there was no cloth or detergent to clean the table and dishes. They tried to sell me a cleaning kit for 12,000 pesos. We eat at least three times a day, so why should I have to pay to clean their kitchen? There were no complimentary bottles of water either. I later found out there was filtered water outside the villa, but I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t complained. I had already bought five bottles from them, I think for 4,000 pesos each. The kitchen knob was broken, and I told them, but they did nothing to fix it. The handle on the inside of the door was also missing from the first day, so I couldn’t properly open or close the door. I reported it and nothing was done. On the last day, my girlfriend took a morning shower and cut her finger on the metal shampoo holder. Those holders need to be plastic. There was no floor towel for the shower either, and it’s very easy to slip on those ceramic floors. My girlfriend accidentally got period blood on two white towels. A staff member knocked on my door and said they would charge me for them. I’ve traveled around the world and have never been charged for accidents like that. The administrator and I discussed it and agreed I wouldn’t be charged. Thanks.
