Tiuma Park

The park has lots of room to play and relax, and the horse show was a lot of fun. The bathrooms were being cleaned constantly, which I really appreciated. There’s plenty of parking, though storing your things costs COP 10,000 for the lock. We liked the river attraction, it was exciting and beautiful, but it was over too quickly. The two young assistants had to move the pulley themselves for nearly 25 people. The buggy ride was nice, although we didn’t see many animals. The horseback ride also felt too short: we only went through a little puddle, and videos we’d seen had given us different expectations. Mission Delta was a complete activity and the training staff did a good job. Still, the way they corrected guests could be kinder. One staff member asked us not to cheer because it might cause an accident, which I understand, but the delivery wasn’t friendly. Between zip lines, the assistants were sometimes left hanging while waiting for the next guest. I wish the activities lasted longer, but the park is on the right track. Congratulations to the whole team.

We had a generally okay stay at the hotel with 16 people for a New Year’s celebration, hoping for nature with a bit of comfort. The dinner we booked for New Year’s ended at 10 pm, two hours before midnight. The setting itself was nice, but loudspeakers all through the forest scared away the truly wild animals. Comfort was mostly fine, except one room had no running water. We told the staff, but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. Luckily we had other rooms to share.

As a llanero, I was proud of how they let visitors experience our culture and folklore. I spent the day there with family and friends, and the activities blend adventure, nature, and local culture really well. A must if you’re in Villavicencio.

The staff were the one bright spot, very friendly. The room windows don’t close, so the AC has to run constantly. Breakfast and dinner portions were far too small for me; I’d usually need more than twice as much. The farm animals also didn’t look well cared for.
