I won't stay here again. I didn't feel safe leaving valuables in my room. Staff seemed unusually interested in whether I was there and checked several times. I can't prove it, but I felt they might be watching for a chance to take my money or belongings. I was also repeatedly disturbed despite putting the do not disturb sign on the door. That should mean exactly what it says, and I suspect there may have been a more troubling reason for those interruptions. Some staff were great, while others seemed suspicious in their intentions. The hotel is otherwise good and centrally located. Maintenance responded quickly, and breakfast was great. Checking out was difficult and took time because I had to go through reception. A simpler option, such as being able to leave, would help. If you stay, take your cash and valuables with you when you go out. Someone will enter your room while you're away, and they have the safe key.

We came to the hotel for a Casanare show with a llanera band. The performance was awesome, and the service was acceptable. There was no air conditioning, which would have been nice. As Americans, we're used to waitstaff taking a card to a terminal. Our waiter seemed aware of that and didn't bring the wireless tap terminal. He took my card away to run it, and later I found several thousand dollars in fraudulent charges. I had to cancel the card and report the fraud to my credit card company. The hotel said it reviewed footage of our table that evening and saw nothing unusual. Locals in Colombia know not to let a credit card out of their sight. I believe the management knows that too, but didn't want to admit an employee could outsmart them.

We stayed one night with our daughter, and the people were very nice. The beds were comfortable, and the front desk handled check-in and checkout promptly. The location is handy, at a shopping mall with a gym and food court, and only a few minutes from the airport. Breakfast was fine, with limited but decent variety. Our room was a bit noisy despite the double glazing, and the outside of the window was covered in bird droppings, which was a little disgusting. It's a good option, though you may want to ask for a room with a view.

We've stayed here faithfully for more than a decade, but recent visits have brought some concerns. The room air conditioning doesn't seem effective and shuts off when you're away, so the room is uncomfortably hot when you return from a hot day. This happened more than once. Instead of fixing it promptly, staff moved us in the middle of the night. Thin walls also let in a lot of noise, especially from barking pets next door. We may have to look at other places in the area on future visits.
