Park View - Airport & City Hotel

The room was clean and decent, and the staff were very kind. But the traffic outside made the rooms very, very noisy, and there was confusion over payment at check-in. They kept saying I hadn’t paid online, even though I had. I had to show them my payment receipt, so keep that in mind when booking.

Norma, Ruth, and the rest of the staff were delightful, always helpful and pleasant. It’s a nice little boutique hotel downtown, with convenient parking in a secure lot just around the corner, though you have to pay for it.

The room was clean and spacious enough, and breakfast in the morning was delicious. It’s only 7 minutes from Juan Santamaría airport and the price was affordable. We liked it enough to book again for a place to stay near the airport on our way home.

We stayed one night as a couple before our flight. The room was okay and the location was nice, but the service felt mediocre. The guy seemed like he’d just woken up from a nap, yawning, and took a long time to come downstairs. After we went out, we came back an hour later and waited outside, knocking and ringing for 10 minutes. When he opened up, we could smell weed upstairs, and he had rolling papers in his hands. It was ordinary, and we didn’t make a big deal of it. We just wanted to get to our room. The door had to be unlocked for us each time we went in or out, which wasn’t convenient. I told him ahead of time that we had a flight and needed to leave at 5am. At 5, he wasn’t at the desk. We’re tourists and can’t make calls from our phones if we need to. We looked around and found him asleep in one of the rooms, like in the photo, and had to wake him up. We weren’t expecting a five-star hotel or top-notch service, haha, but this was mediocre. It felt like a hostel, and we worried we’d get locked in or out with no way to contact anyone.
