Tiki Villas Rainforest Lodge & Spa

The food was absolutely top notch, and the common spaces are gorgeous. Our villa was beautiful too, with a generous layout and nice views. Staff were eager to make us comfortable, and even arranged taxis for us, adding the cost to our final bill. Shout out to Pablo, Walter and Gerald for their professionalism and hospitality. The lodge had reopened in late Dec 2025 after a complete renovation and had been open barely a month, so a few finishing touches were still missing, like patio furniture for the villas, bathroom hooks and furniture in the common areas. They acknowledged this apologetically. It didn’t put us off staying, and I expect it’ll be 100% completed within the next couple of weeks. Thanks for a great stay!

I visited a couple of years ago, and the place is almost unrecognizable after the renovation. The reception, restaurant and pool area look stunning, and the rooms are gorgeous. There are indoor and outdoor showers, a bath tub, bamboo ceilings and wonderful rainforest views. They told me a few details were still outstanding, and seem to be discounting the hotel heavily right now. I didn’t notice anything missing. Wonderful!

My Christmas Holidays have been ruined, and I’m out USD$12,000. I made the reservation in November 2024, understanding that the renovation would be finished before Christmas. Today I got an email from the Mtkg Dept saying the group handling the work had taken off with the money and the Villas aren’t available. The guy I spoke to didn’t know anything about the situation. People involved: Marvin Seas, General Manager; Gerald Rojas, Director of Operations; Serge Bernard Theriault, Group Manager. I’m going to hire an investigator and sue them to local police. Beware this establishment, they’ve just stolen from me.

We had four girls in our group, and for us the room price worked out great. The balcony looked over the jungle, with the ocean in sight and earshot. At night we slept with just the screen door closed, and the sounds were so peaceful. The villa was really cozy, with a small kitchenette and both an indoor and outdoor shower. That outdoor shower got pretty hot, which felt great at night. The food was amazing and came in big portions, so the price made sense. Breakfast was included and really good too. Truly one of the highlights of our trip.
