The host was such a funny, generous guy, always happy to share stories and tips for spotting animals, and he made a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is tiny and sits near a peaceful beach with nature all around. Cahuita is about a 10-minute ride away, or a longer walk, and we went there for the national parks and charming restaurants. We had a really pleasant stay and highly recommend it.

Silvio even made us delicious pizzas one evening, which the whole family enjoyed. The place is beautifully designed, and the kids had a great time in the pool, looking at the pictures underwater with their diving masks. We all loved staying at Silvio's and would definitely recommend it.

On both visits, Casa Caribbean Coconuts left a deep mark on me, and I know I'll keep recommending it and return whenever I'm in Cahuita. There’s a quiet, soulful feeling here that makes the world slow down as soon as you arrive. Sylvio has put so much heart into the place, and you can sense it in every corner, in the surroundings, and in the stillness. It feels like a gentle way to reconnect with yourself, almost like rewinding life. My second stay was hard to put into words and unforgettable, just like the first.

Playa Grande is right across the street, isolated and beautiful, with plenty of plants and animals and none of the city's bustle. The grounds are stunning, and the pool feels tucked away in a private jungle near a private beach. Silvio was making improvements all the time, and from the moment we booked he made sure we had what we needed. The room was roomy, the beds were good, and two bathrooms were a real treat in Costa Rica. Our kids loved having the host around, and his cooking was top notch. Such a great find for the price.
