The outdoor living space is magical, with three stories to the house, an open-air bathroom and shower, and an outdoor kitchen that's second to none. Colibri really lives up to its paradise name. The plants and local wildlife are outstanding, from big and small lizards you might see each day if you're lucky to agouties dropping by. The ocean is just minutes away on foot, and a longer, pleasant walk brings you into town. Right in the heart of Cahuita, Colibri is a wonderful place to experience the best of Cahuita and Costa Rica.

Lizz & Paul are pure Nature's Magic, and they know the local area and things to do really well. The hospitality is soothing, comfortable, and relaxing, with a very authentic Costa Rica feel. They grow fresh pipas, coconut milk, mangos, avocados, and Maumee fruit on the property. Their chocolate is a special treat when it's available, and the outdoor ceremony and gathering space is lovely.

I stayed here in August 2017 and had a great time. Marco and Katia were exceptionally hospitable, and the breakfast was fabulous. My bungalow was cute, spacious, and clean, with a little outdoor table overlooking the garden where you could also eat breakfast. The garden is full of tropical plants, including mango and avocado trees, and even has a friendly sloth. The location is excellent, quiet, and about a 10-minute walk from the center of Cahuita.
