LagunaVista Villas

The view over the lagoon won us over, with scarlet macaws flying past all the time. In the right season, you can even spot dolphins or migrating humpback whales from up there. The place is small, beautiful, and so relaxed, and we felt completely at home. Every day the chef put loads of care into the food and came up with something new. The team were warm, attentive, and super friendly. For us, definitely 10 out of 10 stars.

The remote setting was a big part of what made this stay so lovely. We saw scarlet macaws every day, along with other wildlife, and really appreciated the laid-back feel, phenomenal food, and pool. Greg and Keiko were welcoming and fun to talk to. I’d suggest booking here.

The people here made us feel so comfortable. Jonathan, Santos, and the whole crew gave us prompt service, clean rooms, and delicious meals, and even brought fresh coconuts for cocktails when we asked. They really went above and beyond. The rooms were perfect, and the plunge pool ones are awesome. This stay made our trip. I’ve already recommended it to lots of friends, who were amazed by our stories. Pura Vida, amigos! From the balcony in the morning, it felt like the rainforest was greeting us. On the hill, scarlet macaws, toucans, and green parrots flew by at breakfast and played in the trees around the villas. We saw many kinds of monkeys in the mornings, and sometimes crocodiles in the lagoon below. It was full immersion in the wildlife you come to see on the Osa Penninsula. The ocean breeze kept us cool in the afternoons, whether we were riding horses along the beach or walking through the rainforest. We also had lunch at Luna Lodge and La Leona lodge to check them out, but were always glad to come back here.

We dropped in for a drink and lunch while exploring. The owners were really welcoming, the food was great, and the views were amazing. It felt quiet, peaceful, and secluded. The rooms and accommodations looked great, and the kids loved a dip in the pool.
