Sophie, the manager, was more helpful with our trip than anyone at any hotel I've stayed at. She connected us with fantastic tour companies, responded VERY quickly, and kept us updated on pick-up times, costs, and local resources. The bungalows were cleaned daily and kept very clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. It sits right on the beach in the middle of Santa Teresa, with restaurants and shops within walking distance in both directions. A great beachside restaurant and bar is attached, with regular events, but I wouldn't call it a party place. We like quiet and don't enjoy crowds, and the DJ nights wrapping up at 10 or 11pm weren't a problem. You can hear the road from the bungalow, though it isn't bad, and that's Santa Teresa for you, with one road through town. If you want to avoid all car noise, you'd need somewhere in the jungle. We also had occasional temporary interruptions to water or power service, which wasn't the hotel's fault. It happens in Costa Rica. Pura Vida! This was a wonderful place for our first Costa Rica visit.

We paid $20 pp for the pool party and had a lousy time. There was a DJ, but kids were jumping around and one even bit my shoulder. Service was slow, and hardly anyone else was there. A bikini fashion show was meant to happen, but we waited for hours and saw nothing. We would’ve been better off on a lounger looking at the ocean. It felt like a joke and a waste of money. 😂 They also charge $11 for a Red Bull and say they don't have tap water. 😂

The service really stood out. Every staff member went out of their way to help, whether arranging excursions or sharing useful local tips. The room at Banana Beach Hotel was spacious, spotless, and had a stunning ocean view. The pool is beautiful, the gym is well equipped, and the beach is just steps away. We also enjoyed the restaurant's range of delicious meals and its relaxing evening atmosphere. For a beautiful setting and great service, I highly recommend it.

We’ve stayed at many five stars hotels, but just finished 28 nights at Banana Beach and enjoyed it far more. The bungalow felt like an oasis, and the huge ispool is in a beautiful setting. The staff are all upbeat and friendly, and every request was handled quickly and cheerfully. We’ve returned to Santa Teresa every year for 10 consecutive years, and it’s the only place we keep coming back to. Having a place like Banana Beach is a big part of that. They never fail. This year, the whole area lost power for about 12 hours, but Banana Beach had a generator, so we were among the only hotels with air conditioning and electricity. The restaurant attached to it is right on the beach, with Fabulous food and a fun atmosphere. We recommend Banana Beach bungalows without hesitation. We already reserved another 28 nights for 2026.

The rooms were comfortable, well cared for, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Banana Beach in Santa Teresa is right by the beach and near all the essentials, yet the atmosphere stays peaceful and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay feel just right. It felt like paradise, and the whole experience was unforgettable. I can’t recommend it enough.
