Hotel The Place

The only real downside was traffic noise from the main road nearby, though it quieted at night and wasn’t much of a problem. A five-minute walk gets you to town, with the beach, restaurants, and services close as well. The price felt very fair, and we’d recommend the place and return when we’re back in the Santa Teresa and Carmen Beach area. We found Ritmo Hotel by chance and really liked it. The gardens and pool are beautiful, with relaxing bungalows around the shared area. We had coffee on our bungalow’s front patio in the mornings. Everything was clean and comfortable, the included breakfast was excellent, and the staff were helpful, accommodating, friendly, and kind.

We stayed with my mother and were very pleased with everything. The beds were comfortable, the pool is surrounded by lovely nature, and the hosts were helpful and welcoming. If we needed food or an ATV rental, they sorted it out. The city is walkable, so a car isn’t really necessary. Santa Teresa beach is eight minutes away, and the sunset there is wonderful. I used to consider this my favorite hotel after staying here many times over the years, but that’s no longer the case. The grounds are well maintained and the location is good. You’ll get a better price by booking through Booking.com.

There are plenty of animals around, like iguanas, birds, and squirrels, so it may not suit you if those bother you. Otherwise, it’s a peaceful place and very good value. Breakfast is included with four options, fresh fruit, and freshly baked bread. The beach is a five-minute walk away, and the staff were very accommodating about storing my surfboard. Highly recommend for a quiet stay.
