The rooms feel very humid, and getting to them is like finding your way through a labyrinth. On my first night, I had to get rid of two "cucarachas". The toilet setup is ridiculous, you can't open the doors all the way. Whoever designed it should go to prison.

There's a big pool out front and a shared outdoor grill, and it's a kid-friendly place. The rooms have mini fridges, air conditioning, solid mattresses, and check-in and check-out were easy. Good value in Cocles, with the beach bars and several supers within walking distance for drinks or snacks.

Breakfast being included helped a little, and the location was excellent. But the room was old and run down, with a badly placed bed, flimsy linens, and a window with no privacy. We stayed one night, and that was enough. It might work if room comfort doesn't matter to you and you plan to spend all day at the beach, but that's a big if.

We got to check in two hours early, and the service was great. The room was very big and clean, breakfast tasty, and there are room service options. It's a peaceful spot in the jungle, away from Puerto Viejo and the main road, so there aren't noisy cars. Really decent for the price!

The only drawback is the 800 m distance from the main road. With big luggage, you'll need a cab, though there are plenty of bicycles to use. The staff are great, everything's clean, and the pool is great too. Excellent value for money in Cocles. I'll definitely come back.
