Our lodge had a hammock, and there’s a pool too. The beach is an easy short walk away, and they provide towels for the beach and pool. I liked having a choice of breakfast dishes. Great rooms, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

The hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the food was excellent, freshly prepared just for us with real attention to detail. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, and the place had an authentic Costa Rican feel that made our stay even more special. It’s also a great base for exploring, with plenty of good excursions nearby. We had an amazing time and highly recommend it.

The rainforest sounds go on around the clock, and there are so many remarkable creatures to see. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, a must for anyone who loves nature. It’s far enough from the main towns to feel very private, but only a short walk to Playa Chiquita. Breakfast is always amazing too. This was my third stay at La Kukula, and each visit has been better than the last. The owners are so kind and helpful that you feel like part of the family.

Sonya and her team were incredibly hospitable to our family. We brought four kids, and they loved the pool, wildlife spotting, breakfast, and how clean everything was. Jeremy the cook was fantastic and even customized some breakfasts for the kids. One of the highlights was a maintenance staff member showing us around the property and pointing out sloths. Thanks for having us. We hope to see you again!

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is great, and the owners and staff are super friendly. A lovely jungle resort in a tropical paradise. We’ll definitely be back.
