Marta & Miguel made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived spontaneously at ”Los Delfines Lodge”. They were always checking whether we needed anything, and helped with drinking water, fresh sheets and towels, and useful tips for restaurants and activities. They love what they do, and put so much heart into making guests feel welcome. The accommodation was clean, and we quickly fell for the green garden and the sounds of nature. We felt safe, and the location is convenient for getting to the beach, nearby supermarkets, and Puerto Viejo for a little PURA VIDA flair. We had a fantastic time and would happily return. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle in a lovely private house made our stay extra special. The location is beautiful, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. I’m grateful they took us to see a waterfall, gave us an early morning ride so we could catch our bus, and shared so much information along with their kind words. One of my favorite places to stay in Costa Rica.

The gardens are beautiful, and both houses are nice, clean, and comfortable. They can provide bikes if you don’t have a car. The road noise could be an issue if you’re sensitive to it, since Margarita Road can be noisy even at night. One of the houses is right next to the road, so ask for the other one.

The house is close to several beaches, and the proprietors are very friendly and helpful. The main downsides are traffic right outside and lots of local dogs barking at all hours. It’s OK value.

Our hosts are adorable, and the garden is lovely, with lots of birds and butterflies. Such a beautiful place.
