Villas Luna de Miel

We had terrible service. The power went out at 6 p.m. and never came back, and the cabins had no emergency lights or generator to charge our phones. We were left without communication and couldn’t cook in the dark. When we asked the owner what could be done, he rudely told us to cook early and use their phones as lights. Once all the phones died, there was no power and cockroaches started coming out all over the cabins. There weren’t even pots to cook with, and we were especially disappointed because we had an elderly woman with us. They showed us no consideration at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. And truly, sir, you should take a customer service course and stop answering your customers that way.

The staff at the convenience store were excellent and the service there was incredible, but the villa owner needs a customer service course. Our stay in the Manzanillo house was awful. There were six adults and two children, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. We had originally booked for seven adults, but one couldn’t come. The house had three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with bunk beds. When we arrived, the owner removed the sheets and blankets from one single bunk because the seventh adult wasn’t coming, saying children weren’t entitled to a bed and “should sleep with their mothers.” The refrigerator didn’t work, so our fruit and some dairy spoiled, but the owner insisted it was working perfectly. The toilet began leaking, and the only response was to put a towel underneath. The pool also doesn’t comply with Law 7600 for accessibility: it has steps but no handrails or access ramp.

Martha and Magdalena were extremely attentive and friendly, and the service from the staff was exceptional. The place was clean and spacious, with a small but pleasant pool. It’s a short drive to Santa Teresa and Malpais. I’d definitely visit again.

A big plus is that they welcome pets. The accommodations are well located near Santa Teresa, and they’re very professional and courteous, with everything you need.
