The new pool is a lovely spot to unwind, and there’s a pizzeria just up the road and a stable next door. Our room was very clean, with daily cleaning, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The setting in Mal Pais is quiet and beautiful, while still close enough to the main road to reach Santa Teresa easily by scooter, ATV, or bike. It felt ideal for yoga or meditation. We had a fantastic stay and I’d happily come back.

We stayed in the two double rooms and really enjoyed the property, especially the lovely shared spaces and well equipped kitchen. Communication was great. We did lose water for a day and a half, through no one’s fault, but a more regular refill of the toilet tank would have helped. Apart from that, everything was wonderful and we’d absolutely recommend staying here.

Mal Pais was so calm, while Santa Teresa was close by, and the place felt like home right away. It was cozy and comfortable, and I loved staying here. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you🙏🏼

This is my go-to place in Costa Rica. I’ve stayed a second time now and couldn’t be happier. It’s a beautiful oasis, and they’ve added a pool since my last visit. I’ll be back.

At Cuatro Vientos, Yam made sure I could get whatever I needed, from rentals and shuttles to yoga classes, and arranged things in no time. It’s a clean, peaceful place with a warm atmosphere, just right if you’re after a relaxing stay. I’d absolutely recommend it.
