Really good service, a nice gift shop, and a great breakfast.

The best place ever.

From my cabin’s little terrace, I could look out over the colorful garden and often spot agoutis, cats, toucans, howler monkeys, sloths, butterflies, and plenty more. It really feels like you’re in the jungle, with the path to the fantastic beach starting right at the property. Keep your eyes and ears open along the way. The nearest market is just a five-minute walk. The cabin was reached through beautifully kept grounds, and had a good-sized room with a fan and small refrigerator. The shower and toilet are down two flights of stairs, screened by a planted divider. Everything was very clean and well cared for. There’s also a small gym, communal kitchen, and a relaxed reception area with comfortable places to sit together. Fresh fruit is often set out, some from their own garden, with a bunch of bananas ready to snack on. The owner gave me a warm welcome and quickly put me at ease. She’s full of energy and always cheerful. Rubio is also a highlight, a friendly, funny jack-of-all-trades who seems to pop up from every direction, keeps the grounds in shape, and is happy to help with questions or concerns. Perfect!

Playa Chiquita has that tropical beach-holiday feel, with white sand and clear water. It’s a small town on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, where gentle breezes make the beach lovely and adventures are close by. 😍👌
