Laura's House Bed & Breakfast

The location was just right, close to the beach and main street but still quiet, and the price was great value. The rooms were clean, the staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was great.

Laura really saved my vacation. One of my kids got sick and needed rest instead of traveling, which threw off our accommodation and plans. Laura had a room available, let us check in early, and helped me with everything. Laura's House ended up being just what we needed, and my son could recover safely and comfortably. Our room was basic but very clean, with space for my family and everything we needed: a private bathroom, fridge, great AC, Wi-Fi, pool, and a spot to rinse off sand from the nearby beach. You can tell Laura works hard to keep the property nice and cares about it. We left early to try to get the rest of our travel plans back on track, but I wish we'd stayed for breakfast. We picked Laura's House at the last minute for our eight-day trip to Playa del Coco, and it was affordable and comfortable for the two of us. Small, quiet, and right in the center, it was a great stay. Laura is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed chatting over breakfast and coffee each day, and swimming in the pool. Just so you know, there's no hot water in the rooms or refrigerators. With most days over 90 degrees, cold showers in the evening were actually great, but plan ahead for the lack of a fridge. Being so near the beach also meant lovely morning walks with my camera to watch the wildlife as town woke up, especially the birds, reptiles, and Howler monkeys.

For the price, this was the best value I could find in Coco. The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful, the rooms were simple but clean and nice, and the beach was just a two-minute walk away. A really great experience.
