Very Good Featured review

We only needed a room for one night after our flight was canceled, so we booked quickly based on the reviews online. As soon as we arrived, I regretted it. I don’t understand all the good reviews. The villa was dirty enough that our socks turned brown from walking on the floors, and there were cockroaches in the kitchen. The bathrooms badly need updating. We stayed because we had no choice, then left as early as we could the next morning. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were always nice. The rooms were spacious, the pool and restaurant were nice, and it was a good fit for a family. The beds, though, were the worst part. We had to put an extra futon on top of our queen bed for more cushioning.

The rooms and grounds were good, and there’s plenty to enjoy here: a nice pool, a kids’ play area, and room to walk around the big compound. It’s family friendly, and the restaurant is very good with kind servers. Be careful with anything they leave in your room fridge or on the counter. You may be charged for it, or accused of eating or drinking it when you haven’t, so ask them to remove it before you check in. Also confirm with the booking site or reception that your free breakfast has been arranged before heading to the restaurant. The receptionist may not honor a breakfast arranged through another site, which can leave you embarrassed after you’ve eaten.

The resort is well maintained and attractive, and the staff speak English well. A bus stops right outside and goes directly to the beach for just 600 Colones. Some of the streets are unfinished.

The pool was lovely and the service very good 👍. Rooms were good, though a little dirty. It’s close to nice beaches, but about 40 minutes from Liberia, which is why I’m giving it 3 ⭐️.
