Danyasa Eco-Retreat

The Danyasa team made the whole trip feel special. They helped me book the excursions I wanted and gave me great suggestions for things to do nearby. Everyone was genuinely warm and so helpful that I felt at home right away. I had an unforgettable stay and would absolutely recommend Danyasa Eco Retreat.

I’ve been to Dominical three times now, and finding Danyasa made me glad I came back. It’s right in town and only a few minutes from a great sand and surf break. During our week there, we met a lot of lovely people, and having a pool on site was a real plus. The service was impeccable, with staff regularly checking if they could do anything else for us. Guests can take discounted yoga classes each day, and there’s also the option to book a private massage on site. Highly recommend!

I loved having the yoga shala right there, so I could do my morning yoga, breathwork, and meditation every day. Breakfast was served from 8-10am, with fruit, nuts, oatmeal, plantains, sautéed greens, queso, rice and beans, and eggs if you wanted them, plus tea and coffee. The WiFi was great too. The place feels like being in the jungle, with birds and lizards around the lovely pool, while the rooms still have AC, good water pressure, and hot water. I didn’t find mosquitoes, bugs, or lizards inside my bedroom. Everything was clean, beautiful, and relaxing, and the staff were kind and friendly. It was rainy season when I stayed, but I could still walk to cafes, shops, restaurants, the farmers market, and the yoga studio. The beach and waterfalls are within walking distance too. If you have a car, nearby towns are easy to explore. Highly recommend!

For a refreshing swim and a day lounging by a gorgeous, spotless pool, this place is hard to beat. Danyasa also impressed me with its food, amenities, cleanliness, security, service, and hospitality. I’ve stayed at all sorts of places around Costa Rica, and this was the best experience I had in Dominical by far. If you meet the owners, ask how they started the retreat. They might share some beautiful local history. Enjoy your vacation!
