We were worried when we first arrived because the place looked like a construction site, but it turned out the original accommodation was too close to the ocean. The owner had to rebuild the whole house and hotel, and is finishing the rooms one by one. When we visited, two rooms were ready. They're spacious and clean, with a ceiling fan and fridge, and both have the best ocean views in town. Staying in Bahia Drake was a lovely surprise and such a good choice. The sitting area outside the rooms has super comfortable chairs, perfect for relaxing to the sound of the ocean. The beds were extremely soft and comfortable, despite what I'd read in earlier reviews, so they must have replaced the mattresses. The owner was friendly and helpful, doing all he could to make us feel welcome, even adding romantic candlelight after sunset. He explained the area and arranged tours for us. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the supermarket and a few restaurants are just a two-minute walk away. Nothing to complain about. I hope they finish the other rooms soon so more people can enjoy the place.

The family running the place made us feel very welcome and were so helpful. The room was spacious and very clean, with a great view over the ocean. Being right on the beach meant we could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The owner is still rebuilding the hotel and homestay, but it's already a great place to stay in Drake Bay. We hesitated after reading earlier comments about a hard mattress, but the mattresses were brand new when we stayed last week and extremely comfortable.

The family running the hotel were friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. Their son speaks English really well. The veranda has the best ocean view in Drake bay, and the room is spacious, with a fridge. Breakfast was good, and thanks for all the coffee, ice tea, and cakes! Best value for the price in Drake bay.

We could sit on the patio lounge chairs all day, listening to the calming waves and enjoying what we thought was the most beautiful view in Drake Bay. A very nice family runs the hotel. Thanks for being so kind, we loved our stay!

The owners were super friendly and would make breakfast if you asked. Our room was upstairs on the second floor, one of two rentals there. It was large, simple, and clean, perched at the base of the town hill with a lovely northwest-facing ocean view.
