I visited with Go Ahead Tours in Oct 2022, took a tour of the place, and had lunch there. I enjoyed seeing the gardens and how they grow a lot of their own things, raise animals, and compost. They aim to use less electricity. For example, the roofs have special tiles that are supposed to keep rooms at a good temperature, and they heat water with metal containers. There were piglets you could pet when they came near the door. I think my group said students can come work on the farm through EF Education, the sister tour company of Go Ahead Tours. The food was good, though my tour group especially enjoyed the pizzas. We’d been in Costa Rica for a few days by then, haha.

I was impressed by the tour guide’s explanation of how the roofing system keeps things cool. The rooms looked pretty comfortable too, and I wouldn’t have minded staying the night. This place was amazing.
