Casa Amanecer Bed & Breakfast

The place was safe and secure, and the woman managing it was very sweet, polite, and helpful. She made us a typical local breakfast with rice, beans, eggs, toast, coffee, and more, and specially prepared hot chocolate for our son. The morning and evening views were nice, and there was a small garden with banana trees. It was a little hard to find on our first time driving in Costa Rica. There's no big sign, and it's a small hotel with 5 rooms. The room was very small, though maybe that's just how it is there. Still, a nice stay.

Sarah and Milena were the best hosts, so kind, friendly, helpful, and they made the BEST food. I stayed at Casa Amanecer for 4 nights and was happier than ever eating dinners they cooked. The place is safely gated, the rooms are beautiful, and I had a fantastic time. It's one of the quietest spots I've been to, which I love, but it's a bit far from things. Without a car or other transport, there's not much food within walking distance, so it may not suit people who want to walk around and try new places. Chris was also incredibly helpful with questions and concerns. He checked in by text now and then, and arranged transportation for my first day when I asked.

We had no car, but booking Ubers around the area was easy. The B&B also arranged an excellent massage for me. The garden was beautiful and peaceful, with hummingbirds visiting often, and the staff made us feel welcome. We loved the stay, especially the delicious breakfasts.

After a long day riding our motorcycles, we arrived late in the afternoon and were relieved to be able to get dinner here instead of walking into the village. Everything was cooked from scratch and tasted great. Breakfast was just as good, with fresh fruit, coffee, and Costa Rican style rice, eggs, and cheese. Our hosts made us feel welcome and pampered. The modern rooms were comfortable and spotless, and we liked relaxing on the patio's rocking chairs with tea and a view. Such a peaceful, safe place to stay in the area. We're glad we found it and would recommend it.
