Cabinas Murillo

Juan and the whole crew made the stay much better with their excellent service. The location and cleanliness also went beyond what I expected, and for this price I don’t think you’ll find a better spot. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return to Drake. The main thing I wished for was better sound insulation, since I could easily hear the next room, plus a small fridge in the room. Thanks, Juan!

At about 17:30, macaws and other parrots gather in the trees by the view and start singing. It’s entertaining, and pretty loud! The host was always happy to help, whether by message or at reception, and knows the area and local services well. Breakfast starts early, which is handy for jungle tours or diving. It’s right in the town center of drake bay and good value for money. The room quality could be better, but it was good enough.

Ronny, one of the owners, made us feel very welcome and was helpful during our stay. His lovely family team can cook a typical Costa Rica breakfast, and every room has an amazing view. We stayed here while visiting Corcovado.

For the price, this cabin was very good value, and the staff and owner know the area and other providers well. It’s a basic cabin in a great spot right in the middle of town, though the build could be better: the walls are thin and the place feels a bit unstable. The shower in cabin n.2 was awful, aimed at the wall and almost impossible to use. I still gave it five stars because the value was so good, and the shower should be easy to fix.
