Raul, Letti, Aberdeen and Henry, thank you for the thoughtful attention and all the knowledge you shared with us. The hosts have remarkable talents and specialties, and the personal service feels boutique while still being very reasonably priced. You can see the care and love that goes into the property. I can't recommend this lodge enough.

Even in the warm, very humid climate, the rooms were comfortable. We ate incredibly well, and the staff were attentive. There are trails to explore for days, with lots of wildlife around, especially for birders and herpers. A beautiful lodge for anyone looking to relax in a jungle setting.

We were lucky to share the lodge with just two other guests, which made the stay feel especially peaceful. On our own, we explored the park and took a refreshing swim at the waterfall one morning before breakfast. The homemade local breakfasts and dinners were excellent, freshly made with produce from the lodge's own garden. Our private jungle lodge was partly built of bamboo, and we could see and hear all kinds of birds and other wildlife from it. We also took the lodge's night tour with two private guides and spotted several kinds of frogs, reptiles and insects. Arriving through the park entrance during our December trip to Costa Rica, we immediately felt the calm of the place and were struck by the natural surroundings and attentive service. For anyone wanting to get away from the pace of modern life and be surrounded by unspoiled nature, it's an ideal spot.

The wildlife is a real feature of this sustainable, striking little hotel, and the rooms are designed to make the most of the views. There's no TV, which you don't need, and the WiFi is good. Food was excellent, much of it from the gardens and nearby area. It's a set menu rather than a la carte, and they catered for a vegetarian diet. The staff were superb and very helpful. Beautifully built, and thoroughly recommend it.
