I saw more birds and wildlife here than during the rest of my trip put together. It’s a family-run organic farm growing over 50 kinds of crops, including some incredible, unusual fruit. The cabins are beautifully designed and luxurious, while still feeling rooted in a genuine love of nature.

The owner and staff are lovely, and the farm dogs are great too. The rooms are unusual and have an outdoor shower, rooftop deck and kitchen. From there, you get beautiful views across the fields to the mountains and volcano. It's a working organic farm, so you can tour it if that interests you. I think there are sloths around the farm as well.

We had such a good stay at Pata Palo, thanks to Bryan. The eco cabins are made from recycled containers and have solar power, a nice kitchen and terrace, and comfortable rooms. From the bed, we could see the incredible Arenal volcano. There's a pool and barbecue area too, and the organic farm is just five minutes from town. We tried some delicious fruit there, and there are lots of things to do nearby. Muchas gracias Bryan y todo el staff de Pata Palo!
